I normally prefer to buy tires from Sam's Club or Costco, but neither of those places had tires I liked for the vehicle I have. I tried multiple other tire shops (See my negative review of America's Tires). Tucker's was reccomended to me by one of my mechanics. They were friendly and helpful. The price seemed reasonable. I was expecting to come back for installation another day, but they did it on the spot. My only negative comment is that we discussed a 2 or 4 wheel allignment and after, the guy put my vehicle on the lift, said the wheels for this vehicle cannot be alligned. The technician still made some adjustments, which I don't understand, yet paid for. Anyhow, overall it was a good experience and I reccomend them.
I've been coming here for years to have tires installed on my cars, trucks, and Motorhomes. And it's always been a good experience with customer service as well as the competitive prices. (See prior review)
However, today was a different story. I brought my truck in due to what I believed was a suspension problem. The truck would shudder or shake violently. I've never had any front end work done here but I've noticed the alignment pits on my prior visits. So I limped my truck over there on Monday (3-12-18) to get it checked. I was told I would have to have an appointment. So, I made an appointment for Thursday 3-14-18 at 4 pm. On Thursday I was told the problem with the truck was my front end suspension needed work (bushings and arms) and I was quoted $501 dollars. I was told that I would have to bring the truck back in the morning so the work could be done. I dropped the truck off at 7:30 on Friday. I was called at approx 10:30 and advised that my truck was ready to be picked up. When I returned to pick up the truck, I was told it was taken for a test drive and it's stills vibrates and shakes, And the reason is because my center drive bearing needs to be replaced, and "we don't do that here".
My concern is, shouldn't I have been told what the problem was when I brought it in on Thursday for an estimate ? Or maybe a phone call while it was there?
I was assured that I had worn front end parts, that needed to be replaced. However, I brought it in for the vibration. I explained to the tech what the problem was, and that wasn't addressed.
Now I have to take it to another shop to address the problem that I brought it to Tucker for. And I'm $500 poorer. ? Not the level of service and professionalism I had expected from Tucker Tire.
I went for used tires knowing all 4 were getting bad. I'm thankful that the guy who was helping me was honest and said I only need 3 for right now. He said my 4th one was still good all around. They have reasonable prices $35-50 depending on your car. I went in the morning and I didn't have to wait long. I live down the street and on the weekends it's busy when I pass by. They have an indoor and outdoor waiting area which is nice. A few workers asked if I was help when I was standing outside. They wanted to make sure I've been helped. I definitely recommend calling before to make sure they have your tire size. It was my first time and def won't be my last!!
I was referred by a friend and was told they had reasonable pricing and they did alignments. I sent my husband to check it out and he was quoted for tires and an alignment at a decent price. He agreed and they started to work on the car. He received a phone call saying that he also need brakes and rotors, to which he agrees to. This was on a Thursday. Friday I called out of work and then we had a long weekend due to Presidents' Day which brings me to today Tuesday Feb 20 2018. I am driving to work and hear a thumping sound every time I lane change go over a bump on the road or break. When I get to work I call my husband and he says he doesn't know why it would be making that sound. I get out of work start driving home and decide I can not drive like this. The sound is coming more and more I pull over. My husband meets me at the gas station that I stopped at and discovers that Tucker Tires failed to put the bolts back onto The brake caliper. This is real bad. You'll be seeing me tomorrow
This is an update I can't be mad when someone apologizes. They owned up to their mistake. Fixed it apologized and that's how it's done.
I've only been going here the last few years. I keep coming back because they're always straight with me, price is reasonable and the time they say it takes?? is usually accurate. I've taken my brothers cars, girlfriends car, and a few of my company trucks. I've always dealt
with Scott F. He is friendly, knowledgeable, honest and navigates me in the right direction every time. I don't shop around. I like the service, the staff, and my tires and will be bringing my business here. Good job Tucker Tires
I appreciate you guys
This place is amazing. I won't go anywhere else for rims and tires. Scott in the office is adorable and successfully met all my needs. The guys that work in the shop are super friendly, efficient, and do great work. I had a faulty sensor and they fixed it without hassle or additional charge. Thanks Dave, Dillon, and everyone else who worked on my truck.
